New Poems, Books, Harrison & Hill

It’s been a busy old month finishing off as many things as I can before my maternity leave! I’m pleased to have some new poems published in the wonderful Foxglove Journal of Poetry and Fiction, including Waiting, New Beginnings and Cherries.

The Geoffrey Hill Special Issue of Stand has also just been published, which includes my article about Hill and Tony Harrison in Nigeria in the 1960s. The issue looks great, and contains some fascinating articles about Hill as well as some surprising portraits!

Jacob Blakesley and I have been busy finishing off the Special Issue of English Studies on Tony Harrison, which is due out next Spring.

I had a lovely trip to Scarborough a couple of weeks ago to chat to Jamie at Valley Press about Verse Matters, the poetry anthology I’ve been editing with Helen Mort. The anthology is all set to be published in November and is available for pre-order now. All Royalties will be split between ASSIST and the Archer Project, both based in Sheffield. We also talked about my poetry book, Moon Milk, which will be published next April with Valley Press.

And finally, my academic book on letters is available for pre-order and will be out any day now! Watch this space for more!
