I’m excited to announce that we’re moving Verse Matters to the fantastic Moor Theatre Delicatessen in March. We’re super happy about the move, which will give us more space and allow for even more collaboration, and it’s more central for all those people who come to Verse Matters by train. It will be the same Verse Matters – coming together in solidarity to share the work of talented people in a supportive and safe space – but we’ll have full disabled access, more room to sit down and more scope for developing work with organisations like Crisis. Our first event at the Theatre Deli will be a special event for International Women’s Day.
We are, of course, very sad to leave Sarah Haigh at the Mugen Tea House who has been AMAZING! Please come along and say thanks to her next week at Verse Matters – February at the Tea House on Thursday 4 February. More details about the next event, which includes fantastic performances from Sai Murray (Tangled Roots Poet), Hannah Chutzpah (Performance Poet) and Arian Sadr (Musician) plus loads of brilliant open mic performers can be found on the Verse Matters Facebook event page.
